Education through football: talent should never be limited

Education through football: talent should never be limited

Talent should never be limited by a lack of information or opportunity. That single line sits at the centre of everything Life & Sports Academy does, and it is why a Scholarship and Mentorship Programme is one of the centrepieces of our work.

Every year, hundreds of talented young footballers complete their school careers with dreams of continuing both their education and their football journey. Many are unable to access higher education because of financial limitations, limited exposure to scholarship opportunities, or a lack of guidance during the application process. We exist to bridge that gap.

Through partnerships with universities, embassies, educational organisations and corporate sponsors, our players receive guidance from experienced mentors committed to helping them realise their educational ambitions. Mentors help players identify suitable universities, understand admission requirements, and explore local and international scholarship opportunities.

The support is practical, not abstract: preparing personal statements and motivation letters, building football portfolios and sporting CVs, completing scholarship applications, preparing for university interviews, and developing career plans beyond football.

Mentorship extends well beyond a single season. The aim is long-term relationships that support young people through one of the most important transitions of their lives.
